BBQ Smoked Sausage

Directions

Step 1

Slice sausage lengthwise, and then cut into about 4” pieces.

Step 2

Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sauté sausage in batches for about 1-2 minutes until browned on both sides. Transfer browned sausage to a double layer of paper towels and blot away excess grease. Then, transfer to slow cooker.

Step 3

Whisk together water, vinegar, and preserves, and pour over sausage. Cover and cook in slow cooker for 2-3 hours on high setting.

Step 4

Optional: Turn slow cooker to warm setting until ready to serve.

Step 5

Serve sausage on sandwiches using Martin’s Potato Rolls, such as this kielbasa, baked beans, and cole slaw barbecue sandwich.

  • Martin’s Rolls of Choice
